MESSAGE

Hi I attended last night's gig in Andover. I am an ex-pat Muswell Hillbilly. The Kinks played at my school dance shortly after 'You Really Got Me' was a hit. Three of them went to the local secondary modern (William Grimshaw or Willie Grim) where my Father taught them history, TD, woodwork and trumpet. My Dad remained friends with Pete Quaiffe until he retired and moved to Somerset. I went to the local grammar school whose grounds adjoined Willie Grim and we were invited to the dance. I could hear very little over the screams. I saw them live subsequently on many occasions. Last night was great - and I was particularly pleased to see you perform some of their lesser known album songs alongside the hits. I did expect you to play 'Stop Your Sobbing' but... A really great performance! Thank you.
